The Sound Choice SC-186k is a compact, portable wireless infrared audio transmitting audio system. It is completely self-contained and includes a super sensitive, surveillance microphone, which acts as your new ear. Dimensions are 5" x 6.5" x 2", and weighs 1.4 lbs. You simply place the unit at the front of the courtroom, classroom, church, auditorium, (etc.) and enjoy crisp clear audio via your amplified, wireless headset. Power is supplied by a wall outlet. One SC-186k can send audio to as many headsets as are required.

Why Infrared?

Our system broadcasts a continuous stream of voice via infrared frequencies. Any number of persons in the audience, wearing a receiving headset can listen. The headsets are wireless and have volume controls to suit your hearing need. Broadcasting via infrared provides the clearest sound with no static or unwanted signals found in FM units. Infrared signals do not pass through walls, insuring privacy.

The Microphone/Emitter (your electronic ear)

The SC-186K system has built-in equalization circuits that de-emphasize the undesirable sounds like background noises, while emphasizing frequencies that contribute to the crispness and intelligibility of speech. This insures that if a question is asked from the audience, you will hear it.

There is also line inputs for connecting to an existing P.A. system, and a microphone input that is ideal for an interpreter.
